Discover and Xperience the famed temples of Bali!

First stop will be at Taman Ayun, a Royal Family temple located in Mengwi. Built in 1634 it is part of the Subak (complex rice-field irrigation system) sites recognized by UNESCO in 2012. The huge complex is surrounded by a wide moat to symbolize the mythological home of the gods. The temple has a series of courtyards, with the first one a large, open, grassy expanse and the inner courtyard has a multitude of meru (multi-tiered shrines).

Then on to Ulun Danu temple, founded in the 17th century. It is dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of the waters, and is built on small islands over Lake Bratan. Pilgrimages and ceremonies are held here to ensure that there is a supply of water for farmers all over Bali as part of the UNESCO-recognized Subak system.

At the end of the day heading to Tanah Lot temple for Bali’s most photographed temple. It is dramatically marooned on a tiny, craggy rock, pounded by the ocean.
