Expanding Connectivity Between China and Indonesia

Indonesia continues to strengthen its position as one of Southeast Asia's leading travel destinations with the launch of new direct flights connecting China and Jakarta.

Spring Airlines has officially introduced two new direct routes from Guangzhou and Shenzhen to Jakarta, providing travelers with more convenient access to Indonesia.

  • The Guangzhou–Jakarta service operates three times weekly (Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday), departing Guangzhou at 16:00 and arriving in Jakarta at 20:10. The return flight departs Jakarta at 21:10, arriving in Guangzhou at 04:00 the following day.
  • The Shenzhen–Jakarta route operates twice weekly (Wednesday and Saturday), departing Shenzhen at 14:10 and arriving in Jakarta at 18:20. Return flights leave Jakarta at 19:20, arriving in Shenzhen at 01:30 the next day.

As China remains one of Indonesia's key international tourism markets, these new routes are expected to support tourism growth, business travel, and cultural exchange between the two countries. Improved air connectivity also offers greater flexibility for travelers planning multi-city itineraries throughout Indonesia.

The Gateway to Indonesia

As Indonesia's capital city, Jakarta is often the first destination international travelers experience before continuing their journey across the country.

Home to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, one of Southeast Asia's busiest aviation hubs, Jakarta offers excellent domestic and international connections. From here, travelers can easily reach Indonesia's most iconic destinations, including:

  • Yogyakarta, the cultural heart of Java, home to Borobudur and Prambanan Temple.
  • Bali, renowned for its beaches, wellness retreats, and vibrant culture.
  • Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park and world-class diving.
  • Lombok, known for its pristine beaches and Mount Rinjani.
  • Raja Ampat, one of the world's most extraordinary marine destinations.
  • Medan, the starting point for exploring Lake Toba and North Sumatra.

With hundreds of domestic flights operating every day, Jakarta serves as the ideal hub for travelers looking to discover the incredible diversity Indonesia has to offer.

Whether planning a cultural journey through Java, an island-hopping adventure in Flores, or a luxury escape in Bali, Jakarta provides seamless access to every corner of the country.

More Than a Gateway & A Leading Destination for MICE Events

While many travelers see Jakarta as the starting point of their Indonesian adventure, the city itself is a vibrant destination worth exploring.

As Indonesia's capital, Jakarta offers a unique blend of modern city life, rich history, diverse cultures, and world class hospitality. Visitors can discover iconic landmarks such as the National Monument (Monas), explore the charming heritage district of Kota Tua, visit renowned museums, enjoy luxury shopping at international malls, and experience one of Southeast Asia's most exciting culinary scenes.

Jakarta is also home to a growing collection of luxury hotels, rooftop restaurants, entertainment venues, and lifestyle districts, making it an ideal destination for both leisure travelers and corporate visitors.

Beyond leisure travel, Jakarta has established itself as Indonesia's premier destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).

The city features world class convention centers, internationally recognized hotels, modern business districts, and excellent transportation infrastructure. Combined with its extensive international flight network, Jakarta provides the ideal setting for corporate meetings, incentive programs, product launches, exhibitions, and international conferences.
