New Flights to Belitung & Pontianak with Scoot

Scoot has officially launched new routes linking Singapore with Belitung and Pontianak, marking an important step in expanding international access to Indonesia.

Starting from May 2026 for Belitung and June 2026 for Pontianak, these routes provide direct and convenient connections for international travelers via Singapore, one of Asia’s key aviation hubs.

Singapore – Belitung (Tanjung Pandan)

  • Launching 3 May 2026, operating 2 times weekly

Singapore – Pontianak

  • Launching 29 June 2026, operating 3 times weekly

With regular weekly frequencies and efficient aircraft operations, this development strengthens Indonesia’s position as a diverse and accessible destination beyond its traditional hotspots.

Beyond Bali: Expanding Indonesia’s Travel Map

The introduction of these new routes opens up exciting opportunities for travelers seeking something different from the usual destinations.

Belitung Island is known for its crystal clear waters, granite rock formations, and laid-back island charm, ideal for leisure travelers looking for tranquility and natural beauty.

Meanwhile, Pontianak offers a unique cultural experience, sitting right on the equator and serving as a gateway to explore the rich heritage and nature of West Kalimantan.

These destinations are now significantly easier to access, joining a growing list of emerging Indonesian highlights such as Labuan Bajo, Lombok, and beyond, giving travelers more reasons to explore deeper into the archipelago.

Lengkuas Island: Belitung’s Iconic Tropical Escape

One of the most iconic highlights of Belitung Island is Lengkuas Island, a small offshore island known for its striking granite rock formations and crystal clear waters.

The island is home to a historic lighthouse dating back to the Dutch colonial era, where visitors can climb to the top for panoramic views of the surrounding turquoise sea and scattered islets.

With its calm waters and pristine beaches, Lengkuas Island offers the perfect setting for island hopping, snorkeling, and relaxed exploration, making it a must visit for travelers seeking a unique yet accessible tropical experience.

B ackpacks Full of Dreams, Opportunity for kids Every backpack tells a story, not just school supplies, but an opportunity. It carries not only books and pencils, but also confidence, opportunity, and the excitement of stepping into a classroom ready to learn. At Smailing Tour DMC , we believe that travel is also about creating genuine connections with the communities that make every destination special. With that belief, we proudly partnered with Pencil For Kids . A community initiative supporting children education across the world. Their mission to provide essential school supplies, helping children access the tools they need for a better learning experience and a brighter future. Last month (July), that purpose came to life. Hundreds of backpacks made their way into the hands of children across Bali, especially North Bali. Every backpack was carefully prepared with school essentials including notebooks, pencils, crayons, and other learning materials.
